This is one of our most popular upgrades...RDTS originated the SP89/MP5K Stretch in 1991. We also originated the designation STRETCH and SP89-S/MP5K-S to identify our Upgrade for the SP89 and MP5K….

Just recently in 1998, 8 years after developing this upgrade we have seen an imitation with the same “stretch” name tacked onto it...Take advantage of RDTS’s expertise and years of experience to insure your valuable weapon is done right by the company that pioneered this design!

FACTORY MP5 BARREL
RDTS techs install an MP5 3 Lug barrel (new) on your SP89/MP5K with a fixture inspired by the HK factory equipment. The headspace is held to .014 -.015 which is tighter than the factory spread! The receiver extension/barrel is machined at 4.9mm to accept the factory 5mm hardened pin, this ensures an extremely tight interference fit!! Your front sight is installed on the new barrel and in addition we'll install the sling stud that's missing on the SP89.

CHOICES
The top cocking tube is “STRETCHED” with an HK FACTORY MP5 COCKING TUBE that is TIG welded (same procedure as factory) on so the cocking tube is extended to the new location of the front sight and now accepts any HK94/MP5 forearm. Hey! we can even provide you with an SK Industries Surefire Flashlight/Laser forearm!.

HIGH PERFORMANCE COATINGS!!
Now instead of some touch up finish that comes off when you get bore cleaner on it (You full- auto conversion owners know what we mean) RDTS bead blast the “ENTIRE” weapon inside and out, including the Bolt Carrier Assembly, Cocking Support etc...Now a high performance solid film self lubricating finish that was originally developed for application on weapons used by U.S. Navy Seal Teams is applied (see description under Coatings in catalog) to the entire weapon inside and out and on the parts mentioned. Then we apply our Classic Collector Grade Finish (MX-25) to the exterior that duplicates beautifully HK BLACK “OR” you can request our PROFESSIONAL SERIES exterior finish...its up to you!!!

NOTE: This upgrade is 100% Legal on the semi SP89! It remains a pistol, it simply has a longer barrel and sighting radius. Now you have a weapon which is actually superior to the SP89/PDW or the HK94/MP5 especially if you add our "K-9” Side Folder (when your registered sear group is on weapon), its stronger than that flimsy wire folder and a hell of a lot more compact than the HK PDW stock, but hey if you like the other stocks that’s OK, everybody has their preference including us so enjoy what you like!!! Note: We take your old barrel in trade, also add $65 if you want RDTS to provide an HK94/MP5 Forearm.

  This is a semi-auto pushpin trigger group that looks identical to the 2 or 3 shot burst groups. It has the same bullet markings and is ambidextrous. We machine the housing to go on a semi type receiver block and add our machined pushpins to the front ears for that authentic look!

  Modified for your semi internals to fit on a semi type receiver and machined pushpins on the front ears for the factory look.

  The Ultimate Laser for your “SP89 STRETCH” A mil spec laser that fits wear your cocking tube dust cover is! On the left side of the Surefire forearm is a pressure sensitive pad for your flashlight, on the other side is a 1” diameter pad for the laser…...We can tell you from experience its great and it works!
